MdPHA Annual Event

Thank you for joining us this year!

Congressman Jamie Raskin, who represents Maryland’s 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives and is a member of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, is among the distinguished speakers slated for MdPHA's annual event, December 1 at BusBoys & Poets in Takoma Park (metro-accessible). The theme for 2022 is Resilience.

Dr. Wendy Ellis, assistant professor and director of the Center for Community Resilience at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University, will provide the keynote address at the event. Dr. Ellis has done extensive research in community resilience building and has been doing this critical work with several health departments across the country.

The event will include:

  • Complimentary appetizers and desserts (with the full menu available to those who wish to purchase dinner and drinks),
  • An opportunity for networking beginning at 5:30,
  • An awards ceremony, and
  • Board nominations for next year.
