National Public Health Week: Healthiest Nation 2030 | Changing Our Future Together | April 2 - 8, 2018

National Public Health Week events coming soon! Check back here or our calendar for more information. Contact us if you’d like to promote your event or are interested in co-sponsorship.

National Public Health Week is almost upon us! Please register to join us or APHA at one of the many events going on that week (click the banner to go to the homepage), including our always-fun networking social on April 5! And as an added bonus, sign up for Part II of our advocacy training series before the social from 5-6PM. Part I took place before Public Health Night in Annapolis last month, but please join us for part II even if you missed that. These do not necessarily need to be attended in order; plus we plan to offer these opportunities throughout the year moving forward. Again, 1 CHES credit will be awarded for attendees.

Help us take 1 Billion Steps!
Walking is one of the easiest ways to improve your health — and it’s more fun if we do it together. That’s why MdPHA is participating in APHA’s 1 Billion Steps Challenge. When you join the MdPHA Movers and Shakers, you’ll be able to track how many steps you take, see total steps for our team and the collective progress of all teams toward the goal of 1 Billion steps. You can synch your step counting device or enter steps manually if you don’t have a device. So register today, and let’s get walking! We’ll have a lot of fun, improve our heath, and walk more than any other team! Healthy, fun prizes will be awarded to top walkers during National Public Health Week activities! Check back here for more details.
